A Winner’s Mindset vs. a Loser’s Mindset

Where is your Mindset? Even better yet, where are the people’s mindset that are on your Mastermind (Olympic) Team ?  Let me explain by it’s so important to have a Winner’s Mindset versus a Loser’s Mindset…

W – The Winner is always part of the Answer;
I – The loser is always part of the Problem;
N – The Winner always has a Program;
N – The Loser always has an Excuse;
E – The Winner says, “Let me do it for you;”
E – The Loser says, “That’s not my job;”
R – The Winner sees an answer for every Problem;

VS. – The Loser sees a Problem for every Answer;

L – The Winner sees a green near every sand trap;
O – The Loser sees two or three sand traps near every green;
S – The Winner says, “It may be difficult, but it’s possible;
E – The Loser says, “It may be possible, but it’s too difficult”
R – Listen up and Listen Real Good >> BE A WINNER

Now you truly need to make a conscious decision to be a Winner and always maintain a Winner’s Mindset in order to win the Gold Medal in YOUR life!

Your Best Friend – The Phone

March 4th, 2010 · No Comments · Motivation, Success & Motivation Articles

We all know that you can’t earn your commission until you make the sale.  Furthermore, you can’t make the sale without the order, and you can’t write the order until you have a product presentation scheduled.  Finally, you can’t have a presentation until you make the infamous CALL to schedule the appointment.

As you see, it all traces back to the initial phone call.  In order to fulfill your WHY and achieve all of your ultimate outcomes in life, you must be UNSTOPPABLE ON THE PHONE!  Right now you need to ask yourself a very important question…. “Am I the best I possibly could be on the phone?”  Your answer will determine your results!  You must develop a friendship with your phone.  I know it sounds crazy, but is true.  When your phone becomes your best friend, you look forward to picking up the phone! Then, and only then, your future will change for the better.

One of the major keys is to practice your phone call script consistently in order to make it smooth to the point of your sounding like a Hollywood actor.  Yes, I do mean you need to have a script and become fluent with this script.  Many people say, “But I do not want to use a script because when I read a script a potential client/customer says that they can tell I am reading.”  Guess what…If this is the case, then you have not practiced enough!

The best way to explain the effectiveness of a perfect script is to think of your favorite actor/actress and all of their award-winning performances.  These performances that you love are SCRIPTED!  Re-read that and internalize what that means.  The Award winners are all script performers. You must make the mental decision right now to become an Emmy Award winner at your script. I speak about this on my CDs & DVDs along with many other concepts/ideas for making calls that will explode your business.

In summary, you must completely look forward to picking up the phone and design your future through the results you experience by making the most effective phone call possible for your business.

In Success Language, Failure Means You’re Almost There!

March 4th, 2010 · No Comments · Motivation, Success & Motivation Articles

I have to admit the title of my section this week is OUTSTANDING! We all know as we are progressing towards our personal goals, dreams and aspirations that we will fail repeatedly, and then all of a sudden we achieve our ultimate outcome and attain our WHY in LIFE! As I state on my story page, “Each failure is a stepping stone to Success, which in turn will become a very long and lovely stone walkway into the castle of your DREAMS!” You must truly internalize the need to fail in life.

Most people fail more between the ages of 16-25 and then they don’t fail ever again in life, which means they never SUCCEED! You see, at the age 25 the majority of people lose their steam and decide to live a life instead of designing a lifestyle for themselves and their families. I am very proud to say that I have failed numerous times in my life. Just ask my parents, they will tell you …”but John you went to college just get a JOB!” As entrepreneurs, we all know that we never have jobs because whatever we do has our life-print on it, which represents our potential. The following is a list of people that we all know who failed before they succeeded. I cannot emphasize enough that you need to continue to try over and over until you succeed and realize that, as I’ve said before, “Each failure is a stepping stone to Success, which in turn will become a very long and lovely stone walkway into the castle of your DREAMS!”

FAILURES…BUT NOT QUITE
–After Fred Astaire’s first screen test, a 1933 memo from the MGM testing director said, “Can’t act. Slightly bald. Can dance a little.” Astaire kept that memo over the fireplace in his Beverly Hills home.

–A relatively unsuccessful marketer of restaurant equipment, he didn’t sell his first hamburger until age 52. At a time when many people prepare for retirement, Ray Kroc built McDonald’s from a handful of hamburger stands into the world’s largest food chain.

–When his older brother was killed during WWII, he first withdrew into a shell. Then he began to listen to the radio to ease his pain. Soon he was dreaming about hosting his own radio show. That led Dick Clark to start American Bandstand.

–Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper for lacking ideas. He also went bankrupt several times before he built Disneyland.

The question that I have for you now is, “Do you realize how you must be proud of your failures because they really are successes?” Many of my workshop attendees have heard me say “…experience is what you receive when you do not achieve what you desire.” I suggest to print this out and put it on your desk where you can read this article every day and remind yourself about Fred Astaire, Ray Kroc, Dick Clark, and Walt Disney and say to yourself, “What is MY story going to be?” You need to fail in order to ultimately succeed in LIFE! After all, in success language, failure means you are almost there!

Your Chicken List

September 1st, 2009 · No Comments · Motivation, Success & Motivation Articles

Before you have a life-changing, personal achievement in your life, you must have a personal breakthrough – Conquer Your Chicken List!? The “Chicken List” is your list of contacts that you would love to share your business with, but you don’t. Instead, you continue saying to yourself, “Only if, I could show him my business. I know that he would do it, but I am afraid to contact him.” The key to having a personal breakthrough is to immediately pick-up your Chicken List and call them up! Unless you do it now, you will never be able to conquer that one thing that is an obstacle to you achieving your WHY in life – your Chicken List.

I can personally tell you that when I speak about the Chicken List; people’s overall physiology negatively changes. They are instantly made to take a look at something that they don’t want to see, hear or ultimately deal with. It is a hated emotion for most people simply because of FEAR. Take a look at your business right now and realize that whatever your fearful of such as your Chicken List will ultimately produce your personal breakthrough. Remember that those people on your Chicken List are people too, and your Why is much more important than fearing others just because they intimidate you in some way.

I challenge you to make a decision and conquer your Chicken List that is holding you back from your personal breakthrough in your business. This conquest will result in you having an extraordinary personal breakthrough in your journey to fulfilling your ultimate WHY in life!

Business Building Techniques that Work

August 30th, 2009 · No Comments · Motivation, Success & Motivation Articles

The following *7* techniques with assist you in building your business to levels beyond your belief. No matter how simplistic these techniques seem if you implement them into your everyday business practice, then your business will explode.

1) Simply lose the always be closing mindset and live with the mindset of always be opening long-term relationship.

2) Never prejudge. You just never know who will be your next huge sale or potential business partner. Let them tell you yes or no. Don’t make the decision for them!

3) You must imagine you have ears like the size of dumbo. Always out listen your prospect and they will sell themselves on your business.

4) Attend every business presentation with the business relationship already cemented in your mind. A business person without a strong belief along with rock solid vision will fail.

5) Offensively handle every objection. Learn to love it when someone tells you no. Sell offensively versus trying to close defensively.

6) Always be early for all your appointments. ?This gives you the edge in the game of sales. This alone will increase your closing ratio 25%.

7) Just go for it! Spend everyday knowing WHY you are building your business and what the ultimate outcome will be. You must see it in order to accomplish it!

I challenge you to add these business building techniques to your daily action steps and commit to doing them every time you enter into a new business relationship.? Your life and your business will change!
