The Thanksgiving holiday is based on the attitude of gratitude, but we should implement this attitude into our daily action habits not just once a year. When we truly possess the attitude of gratitude, our results in life will change dramatically. In business, people will listen with an open mind, because they feel a sense of respect and that you value your relationship with them. The attitude of gratitude is that little bit of extra that will move you from mediocrity to excellence.

How do you start? It??s easy. Two simple words ? Thank You! You will be amazed at the response that you will start getting from people in your life and your business by simply saying thank you or sending a thank you card to recognize them for something that they did for you. I??m not talking about an impersonal email card that they will never open or goes to their spam file. Invest the time to write an actual message of gratitude and mail it to them. This simple way of showing gratitude has gotten lost in our high tech society, but you have the opportunity to stand out from the crowd and appreciate others in your life by going the extra mile.

Word # 13 ? Truth. I am receiving only the truth about myself! Everyone projected in the 2010 Super Bowl that the Colts would win, but they didn??t know what was going on behind the scenes in New Orleans – Drew Brees, his teaching, the coach, the atmosphere, and the mindset. The bottom-line is that the experts were wrong! They were wrong, because they didn??t know what was going on behind the scenes. Drew Brees could have listened to them and accepted what they were saying as the truth, but he didn??t. Why? Because he knew the real truth about himself, his coach and his team.
People try to tell us their side of the truth all the time through their opinions, but it??s important to focus on the truth that you know about yourself and not what someone else thinks. Remember, the center of the word truth is ??U.?? You must believe in yourself and associate with other champions that know the real truth about you. Just like with Drew Brees, the truth will always be revealed no matter what the so-called experts say.

Words # 14 and 15 ? Consistently Building. I am consistently building my belief structure with my Why rollover! Every morning when you roll out of bed, you roll right into the present. The past is gone. The present is today. Get up and open that present with great expectation. How? Instead of reaching for the remote control, read your Why Card for the first seven minutes of your day. It??s called the Why rollover. Saying your Why out loud right when you get out of bed will predict the rest of your day. But you can??t just do it one day. You have to do it consistently every single day to build your belief in yourself and your ability to achieve your Why in life. Make it a daily habit just like you brush your teeth in the morning. Your Why rollover should be part of your morning ritual. You wouldn??t walk out of your house without brushing your teeth or taking a shower so why would you face the world without reading your Why Card? Consistently building your belief in yourself by reading your Why every morning will radically change your daily results.

Word # 16 ? Guarantee. My habits guarantee my success! My wife is an attorney so using the word guarantee in my teachings drives her crazy. However, I absolutely guarantee that your habits will predict your level of success in life! How? Because I have seen in thousands of times in my life and the lives of my students. If your habits consist of hanging out with naysayers, drinking at the local bar every night and watching garbage television, then how can you expect to achieve your goals in life? 97% of people are dead or dead broke by the age of 65. Why? Their habits took complete control of their lives. What about the other 3%? Now, those are the champions that realized that their daily habits will determine if they achieve their goals and dreams. They made the decision to commit to positive daily habits like reading their Why Card, listening to motivational teachings, exercising to keep physically fit, eating right to stay healthy, associating with people that empowering them, etc. They basically said Enough is Enough with the Bad Habits! Haven??t you had enough! Isn??t it time to make a change? I??ll say it again. Your habits will guarantee your level of success ? good or bad. It??s completely your choice.

Word # 17 ? Finish. I will finish my success journey! Make a decision today to commit to the two to five year success journey and finish your success journey. 97% of people quit before they finish! Sadly, I??ve personally witnessed hundreds of people quit on their success journey. They refused to tough it out and finish what they started. When it got hard, they quit! If they would have just hung on that last mile, they would have realized that true prosperity was right around the next corner. That??s not you! You have committed to finish what you??ve started and achieve your Why in life. Keep focused no matter what adversity you face. Success is your destiny and you will cross the finish line!

Word # 7 ? Process. I am loving the success process because I am a champion eagle. Success is a two to five year process. Don??t expect instant gratification! You have to love the process, and remember the process is challenging especially if I??m personally coaching you. I will not accept excuses! During your success process, you will encounter adversity but you will also encounter achievement. You will be face to face challenges, but those same challenges will create a monumental change in your life. Obstacles will be in your path, but you make the decision to overcome them no matter what. Love your success process and look forward to all that you will experience along the way.

Word # 8 ? Cinch. Success is a cinch for me because I was born a champion! Cinch is defined as certain to fulfill an expectation. However, Success is only a cinch when you make a decision. When you make a decision to be successful in every area of your life and you implement daily action steps to achieve that success, there??s absolutely no way that you will fail. First, start living in an atmosphere of expectation. Speak greatness into your life everyday ? Success is a cinch for me, because I was born a champion! Saying that affirmation every morning will move you from fear to faith. You will start to believe that you can achieve success in your life. Own your words and your God-given right to success. As I??ve told you, the process is not easy but success is a cinch if you believe it and build towards your dream every day.

Word #9 ? Organized. I am living in an organized, forward moving, profitable, life- changing construction zone! Your construction zone is where you build your future. It may be your office, your car, or basically anywhere else that you spend most of your day. If your construction is messy, then you are fighting a losing battle! The enemy of distraction and the enemy of clutter will destroy your focus while you are building your future and there??s no possible way that you move forward. If your construction zone is so disorganized that the thought of cleaning it overwhelms you or it would simply take too much time, then start with fifteen minutes per day. For fifteen minutes every day, you will clean and organize your construction zone. You will be amazed how your focus will radically shift when your construction zone is organized. Don??t believe me? Try it and see. What do you have to lose? Nothing! You are sitting in a mess and expecting miracles. Miracles require commitment and if you can??t focus on your miracle because of the mess around you, then it??s time to make a change.

Word #10: Destiny. I have complete control over my destiny! During my research, I found a definition for the word destiny that fired me up – a predetermined, inevitable course of events. Your destined for success my friend! It??s inevitable! The only way thing that will get in the way is YOU! You have complete control over your destiny not your past??not your friends??not fear or anything other enemy that is trying to hold you back. Your destiny came to fruition when you were born a champion. At that very point in time, you were destined for greatness. However, it??s your responsibility to make decisions in your life that will make your successful destiny a reality, which brings me to the next word.

Word # 11 – Decisions. My daily decisions determine my ultimate destiny. Take a real good look at your life and understand that the decisions that you??ve made have landed you at the exact point that you are at right now. Good or bad your decisions will determine your ultimate destiny. One of my greatest quotes is Decision Plus Action Equals Results. With every decision that you make, there is a corresponding action. That??s equation leads to your current results in life. Will your current results drive you towards your successful destiny? If not, there??s still time to make a commitment to change your daily decisions, which will in turn change your results. It??s never too late! Make the commitment NOW to make better decisions about your destiny.

Now, I’m going to give you seventeen focused words that will radically change your results and terminate fear out of your life forever.

# 1 ? Committed. I am committed to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to be a Why Warrior. However, 97% of people are not committed to anything in life. Committed – notice it??s past tense. A commitment is final decision about what you are willing to do to achieve some type of goal or objective. It??s not something that you just think about and put off for another day. When you make a commitment, it??s finished. There??s no turning back. Once you??ve made the decision to be committed to something, your commitment is represented in your action steps, associations, and schedule. What are you doing every day to honor that commitment? Are the people that you associate with motivating you to stick to your commitment? Does your daily schedule reflect your commitment? If you answered no to any of those questions, then you are simply not truly committed.

Word # 2 – Confidence. I am walking strong with confidence as a faithful Why Warrior champion. When someone walks in confidence, you can feel it when they walk in the room and see it in their overall body posture. Like when I take the stage at an event, I??m confident in my abilities as a speaker that I will change lives through my message. Confidence is fully believing what you already know that you are capable of doing. When you make a decision to implement confidence in every area of your life, your results will explode, and people will take notice of the change. Confidence also gets rid of fear instantly and provides you with the faith that you need to achieve your Why in life.

Word # 3 ? Pulverize. This word is a powerful! I pulverize the enemy of fear now with my outwardly spoken words. Outwardly spoken words instantly detonate inward fear. For example, when you speak affirmations like ??I am a fired up champion!?? Fear runs and faith stands. Faith filled words pulverize fear! You??ve got to make a mental decision to absolutely pulverize the enemy of fear now by speaking empowering words over your life every day. Remember, your words determine your results so take the needed action to predict your own future with your words and pulverize the enemy of fear!

Word # 4 ? Fighter. I??m a faith fighter for my Why. When you get serious about achieving your Why in life, you become a fighter. No, not a physical fighter, but you are willing to stand up to the enemy that is trying to stop you. Fear fights every single day to hold you back from your Why so you??ve got to learn to fight back. How? Start controlling what comes out of your mouth and into your eyes and ears. Fear is constantly feeding you through television, radio, billboards, and other forms of media. However, fear really attacks through our friends, family, and coworkers. It??s amazing how one little word of discouragement about your Why will cause you to completely give up. I believe we need to fight for our Why no matter what anything or anyone else says. Become a fighter today and stand up for your Why!

Word # 5 ? Extraordinary. I??m an extraordinary champion. The only difference between being extraordinary and ordinary is that little bit of extra. Average people speak ordinary words. Ordinary people get ordinary results. Fear makes us remain ordinary in every area of life – health, decision, words, family, finances, happiness, etc. You are extraordinary! God did not make a mistake with you. You are an extraordinary champion! Remember that and go the extra mile in your life to become truly extraordinary.

Confident – A coach must be confident. He can teach you to become successful in your field because he has already done it. Confidence comes through struggles and failures that ultimately lead to success.

Open – A coach must be willing to tell you the truth even when the truth hurts. Sometimes it’s very difficult to see that you are standing in your own way of success. A true coach will bring this to your attention.

Admirable – If you don’t respect the coach for what he has done in his career or personal life, then you most likely don’t want to hire him. A coach should be full of integrity and well respected among his peers. It’s hard to be coached by someone that you don’t look up to or even consider to be a professional in the field.

Consistent – A coach must be consistent with the strategies that he is teaching. You will see many coaches that jump from idea to idea because what they are doing hasn’t worked for their clients. Ask your coach for references so that you can see if he has helped others implement strategies that have led to success.

Healthy – Yes, that’s right. A coach should lead a healthy, happy life. You shouldn’t have to hear about how bad his day was or how much he doesn’t get along with his wife. You want a coach that has a balanced lifestyle that enables him to help you with your obstacles and not concentrate on his own issues.

These are just a few things to consider when looking for that right coach that will assist you in achieving your Why in life. I challenge you to set a goal of hiring a personal coach, but be sure to find the right one for you!

According to general statistics, approximately 45% of adult Americans make New Year resolutions every year. Unfortunately, about 97% of the resolutions are never completely fulfilled. Why? Most resolutions are unrealistic and there is no action behind the resolution. Someone can say that they want to get out of debt all day long, but if they continue to go on shopping sprees, then it is not going to happen. Similarly, a person can say that they are going to lose weight, but if they don’t exercise and continue to eat junk, then no change will occur.

The base word of resolution is resolute, which means firmly resolved. So basically when you set New Year’s resolutions, you are saying that losing weight, getting out of debt, etc. will be firmly resolved within the next twelve months. You aren’t saying how it will be fully resolved or what commitment you will make to fully resolve the issue. It’s like a building with no foundation. It will eventually crumble, because there’s nothing holding it up. There’s no commitment or action behind the resolution. Furthermore, most of the things that you are saying will be fully resolved took you longer than twelve months to create so why limit yourself to fully resolving those things in a twelve month window.

Instead of making resolutions that you will likely not achieve, set goals with a detailed list of action steps that will assist you in successfully achieving those goals. Here are some examples for you:

Goal: Lose weight and exercise more
Action Steps: Join gym, exercise 3x per week, eat more fruits/veggies, throw out all junk food in the house

Goal: Spend more time with family
Action Steps: Make a date with your family every week and do something special. (special does not mean costly)

Goal: Increase personal development time
Action Steps: Schedule at least fifteen minutes per day for reading an inspirational book, listening to motivational CDs, etc. Increase the amount of time after committing to the fifteen minutes per day and making it one of your daily habits.

Now, doesn’t that make more sense than simply making a New Year’s resolution and never achieving it? Someone once said, “A New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.” Your goals and dreams are worth more than that, right? Stop treating them like a trend that is in one day and out the next. Make a commitment to yourself and take the daily action needed to achieve your goals and dreams. Now, that’s a real reason to put on the party hats, blow the whistles and scream Happy New Year!
