What Are You Fighting For?
March 12th, 2010 · No Comments · Motivation, Personal Development
The movie Cinderella Man is about a legendary boxer named Jim Braddock. One of the biggest scenes in the movie is when Jim is asked, “What are you fighting for?” He replies, “I fight for milk.” Why? Because the Jim was trying to provide for his family during the Great Depression, and he used the money that he earned fighting to buy milk for his children. Jim wasn’t focus on being a hero to the crowd or the fame that he could possibly earn. His only focus was to secure a fight that would enable him to provide for his family. That was his Why!
Now, let me ask you…What are you fighting for? Is it your family, your business or simply to personally development yourself to prosper in every area of your life? No matter what your Why in life is, you must FIGHT against the negativity that tries to prevent you from succeeding. You must also equip yourself like a great warrior that overpowers the enemy. How? Simply, immerse yourself with positive, personal development that will radically change your life forever!
Here’s a few techniques that will prepare you for the fight of your life…
Read inspirational books. Throw away the gossip magazines that have absolutely no positive effect on your life. Listen to motivational success CDs that ignite the fire in your heart to achieve your dreams. Turn off the television! No longer allow that garbage to infiltrate your mind and spirit. Instead watch DVDs about people and things that encourage you to be relentless in the pursuit of your Why in life.
Attend events. This is probably one of the most important steps that you can take to prepare you to stand strong against the enemy that is trying to steal your dreams. I’m talking about positive, motivational events not gossip sessions! You want to surround yourself with people that have similar dreams and are willing to fight for them. That’s why I created the Lifestyle Freedom Club for Champions just like you!
Invest in yourself. No, don’t go out and spend thousands of dollars on a brand new sports car or other unnecessary items. That’s a waste not an investment. You must invest not only your finances, but your time and energy in yourself in order to achieve your dreams. Take a good look at where you are wasting your resources. Now, I know some of you reading this are saying, “John, I am scheduled every minute of my day. I don’t waste time!” Here’s a revelation for you…being busy doesn’t mean that you are productive. If you are going to be prepared to give the enemy the fight of his life to protect your dreams, then you better believe enough in yourself to invest not waste your precious resources.
Give! That’s right…it’s that easy. Give to others. Whether you like it or not, you will reap what you sow. If you want to reap a bountiful harvest, then you better sow seeds of greatness in the lives of others. Giving doesn’t have to be about just writing a check to a charity. Sometimes it means so much more to just give your time to someone in need or speak words of encouragement over the life of a person that has been beat up by the world. When you develop the habit of giving, you will notice that your strength and belief in yourself will skyrocket. There’s simply nothing that can stand in your way!
I’ve given you some strategies to prepare for battle. So, let me ask you again…What are you fighting for? If you give up, then what you’re truly fighting for in life must not be that important. Just remember that every single time that you want to quit! Now, put on those boxing gloves and prepare to fight for yourself and your dreams. Go get’em Champion!

The Importance of a Coach
March 11th, 2010 · No Comments · Motivation, Personal Development
As you go through life, you will meet people that have done what you want to do in life. They’ve made it! You know deep in your heart that if they can do it then you can too. So, how do you get to that level of success? Get a coach! That’s right…invest in someone who has done what you want to do in life. If you want to become successful in business, then find a coach that has made millions of dollars by building a business. DO NOT hire a coach that has never achieved success in their field! Let me give you some examples of what you should look for in a coach.
Confident – A coach must be confident. He can teach you to become successful in your field because he has already done it. Confidence comes through struggles and failures that ultimately lead to success.
Open – A coach must be willing to tell you the truth even when the truth hurts. Sometimes it’s very difficult to see that you are standing in your own way of success. A true coach will bring this to your attention.
Admirable – If you don’t respect the coach for what he has done in his career or personal life, then you most likely don’t want to hire him. A coach should be full of integrity and well respected among his peers. It’s hard to be coached by someone that you don’t look up to or even consider to be a professional in the field.
Consistent – A coach must be consistent with the strategies that he is teaching. You will see many coaches that jump from idea to idea because what they are doing hasn’t worked for their clients. Ask your coach for references so that you can see if he has helped others implement strategies that have led to success.
Healthy – Yes, that’s right. A coach should lead a healthy, happy life. You shouldn’t have to hear about how bad his day was or how much he doesn’t get along with his wife. You want a coach that has a balanced lifestyle that enables him to help you with your obstacles and not concentrate on his own issues.
These are just a few things to consider when looking for that right coach that will assist you in achieving your “Why” in life. I challenge you to set a goal of hiring a personal coach, but be sure to find the right one for you!

What Can You Learn From Geese?

The Geese are starting to Fly…
Are You?…
What Can You Learn From Geese?
I read this in an article and thought I would share it with you! I typically give credit to the author, but there wasn’t an author listed with this particular information. Now, on to the good stuff…
There’s power in a gaggle of geese that you just don’t find in a lone goose
For example…
Fact…
As each goose flaps its wings, it creates lift for the bird following. By flying in a “V” formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if one goose flew alone
Lesson…
Those who share a common direction and sense of unity can get where they’re going quicker and easier because they’re drawing strength from each other
Fact…
When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to fly alone, and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front
Lesson…
Stay in formation with those who are headed where we want to go; be willing to accept their help and give help to others
Fact…
When the lead goose gets tired, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies at the point position
Lesson…
It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. People, like geese, are interdependent on each other
Fact…
Geese look after each other. If one gets sick or wounded, two geese follow it down to protect and feed it until it either recovers or dies
Lesson…
Stand by each other in difficult times as well in good times
And when you hear those geese honking…
they’re offering encouragement to their leader, something everyone – not just leaders – needs!
With That Said…
Fire It Up Like a Champion Goose!
